She's back

|
It is not that I don't feel like or don't have the time to, don't get me wrong. It's just that I can't. Not prepared. Can't face a blank sheet. Ridiculous. Stupid. Still, it's like having lost your own voice, background, memories.

As a child it was easy. I mean, you can write whatever little stupid thing being sure it has some importance?!

That is how I assume my sheer lack of personality and invent an alien.

MY ALIEN

Perdita, what a name! You should meet her. Little thin absent-minded creature sure of nothing at all. Like you and me. The difference is she enjoys it. Finds it good fun.

-Oh, Hi, Laura! Sorry... late again!
-It's OK. Didn't waste my time. See that guy? I'm gonna marry him.
-You sound so sure. Did you ask him?
-Not yet. I was waiting for you so you can take a pic of the whole stuff.
-Nice!

Laura walks slowly, past two couples and a glass collector, then stumbles. When she is approaching the guy, her cell rings on the table. Back to the table.

-Sweet! Hi, darling! Long time no see. Sure! 6.30 is OK. I'll be there. Bye bye.
-Who was that?
-Sorry, Perdita. I know it's been long and we had to talk those six years over but I really can't now!
